Exmoor is an area of hilly open moorland spanning West Somerset and North Devon in South West England. The landscape remains actively grazed by sheep and supports a thriving population of wild deer. The name Exmoor derives from the River Exe, whose source lies around two miles northwest of Simonsbath.
